Just a reminder that St. Peter’s Eastpointe is offering an Open House exclusively to Peace families on Tuesday, May 23rd at 7:00 P.M. to tour the school and meet the teachers.

BAND CONCERT/SPRING MUSICAL: Our junior choir and band members are excited to be performing for you on Wednesday, May 17th! The band concert will begin at 6:10pm before the musical, “A Not So Terrible Parable”. The spring musical will also be presented during our church service at 10:15am on Sunday, May 21st! See you there!

REMINDER: Thursday, May 25th is a half day as a reward for the shoe collection. Please note that is not on the original school calendar.

HOT LUNCH ENDING: The last day for the hot lunch program will be Wednesday, May 24. From this day forward, students will need to bring a lunch and drink from home. Thank you!

CASH FOR PEACE PLUS: Beginning Monday, May 15, Peace Plus charges will need to be paid daily in cash. This makes the process of balancing year-end accounts much easier. If you have any questions, please contact the office.

Dear Peace Family,

We’ve worked hard reaching out to folks across Warren and the surrounding community asking for gently worn used and new shoes. As of today (4-21-17), we have collected 25 bags (25 pairs per bag) of our goal of 100 bags. You can help us without spending a cent! It’s quick and easy to help us hit our goal!

It’s quick and easy to help us hit our goal. Your shoe donation is vital. Can we count on you? It’s a Win-Win … we earn funds from collecting shoes as we get paid on a per-pound basis, and the shoes get distributed to other developing nations for income/micro-enterprises and repurposing. It will also diminish what ends up in a landfill! This fundraiser will help our school tremendously toward the further education needs of our students. Please go through your closets and if you haven’t worn them in a year or two, donate them to us!

Could you please let me know if we can count on you to collect 25 pairs of gently worn shoes, and recruit a friend to do the same in the next four weeks? Ask them to collect 25 pairs of gently worn used shoes, kids or adult size. Shoes can be dropped off at Peace (11701 E. 12 Mile, Warren, 12/Hoover) or call 586-751-8010 to arrange a pickup.  There’s a Facebook post on our Peace Facebook page – Please share it to get the word out!

Lutheran High School Northwest invites you to TWO exciting events: Saturday, 5/13, is our FINE ARTS FESTIVAL showcasing the remarkable artistic and musical gifts of our students.  Doors open at 6PM for guests to enjoy an extensive art display.  Concert with band and choirs begins at 7PM.  A free-will offering will be taken.  Don’t miss this memorable annual event!

MARY POPPINS, THE MUSICAL will be presented on Friday and Saturday, 5/19 & 5/20, at 7PM, and on Sunday, 5/21, at 3PM.  This fun-for-the-whole family production includes an extensive supporting cast of grade school children as well!  Adult admission is $10; students and seniors are $8; children under three get in free.  A special “Teatime with Mary Poppins” package is available in conjunction with the 5/20 performance.  Come at 5:30 for a meet and greet with the cast, a craft, specialty seating and more.  This special package is $10 each for kids of all ages!  (We are expecting a large turnout for the abbreviated, preview performance for the schools on Wednesday, 5/17, but, even if your children attend that matinee, the weekend performances offer an opportunity to enjoy the full production as a family.)

Both events will take place at LHNW, 1000 Bagley in Rochester Hills.  Phone: 248-852-6677.
